Wendy Palitz began her publishing career as associate art director at New York magazine. She
went on to become art director of Savvy, Travel Holiday and Brooklyn Bridge , and freelanced for Self, Mother Jones, Men's Health, Victoria, and Time Inc’s Magazine Development group. Her work won her several awards and a reputation for resourcefulness and creative range. In 2006, she and her editor husband took jobs at Weider History Group in Virginia during an editorial overhaul, and she redesigned and art directed several titles before moving back to the NY area in 2015.

      She has extensive experience in book publishing, beginning as a designer at Workman Publishing. She later became the creative director of Storey Publishing (a division of Workman) and was the design director of juvenile books at Sterling. Most recently she was the creative director of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library's books.

 

Michael W. Robbins is a prize-winning author  of magazine articles and books. Educated at Colgate University, the Johns Hopkins University Writing Seminars, and George Washington University with a Ph.D in American History, he has served as the editor of Oceans magazine, Audubon, Military History magazine, and MHQ, The Quarterly Magazine of Military History.

      His feature articles on a wide range of
subjects from travel to environmental issues 
have appeared in New York magazine,Discover, National Geographic Traveler, Rolling Stone, Mother Jones, Plenty, the Washington Post, National Wildlife, Popular Science, andThe American Scholar, winning such journalism awards as a National Magazine Award (New York) and a John Bartlow Martin Award for Public Interest Journalism (Mother Jones).  His books include High Country Trail (National Geographic), Brooklyn: A State of Mind  (Workman), Woodswalk  (Storey), The Whole Green Catalog (Rodale), and Lest We Forget:
The Great War
(Pritzker).
